Air conditioning installation in Thetford
A lot of Thetford housing is timber-framed, which changes how a system is fitted — and it is worth asking whether your installer has noticed.
Thetford expanded substantially in the 1960s and 70s, and a good deal of that housing is timber-framed rather than traditional masonry. It is perfectly sound construction, but it is not the same job. Fixings differ, the route through the wall has to respect the frame and the vapour barrier, and an installer who treats it like a brick cavity wall can cause damp problems that only show up a year later.
Timber frame and what it means
We check construction type at survey rather than on the day, so the quote you get is the price you pay.
The Breckland villages around the town are a mix of period cottages and newer infill. Both are straightforward enough once we have seen them. Thetford is a longer run for us than our Suffolk towns, but we cover it for installation and we come back annually for the service.
Villages and areas nearby
We also cover Brandon, Mundford, Watton, Attleborough, Elveden, East Harling and Croxton, along with the surrounding Norfolk villages. If you are not sure whether you are in range, call and ask — the answer is usually yes.
What it costs
Our pricing is published rather than quoted on the doorstep, so you can see roughly where you stand before anyone visits. See one, two and three room prices.
