Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To survey, quote and install — necessary to take steps at your request and to perform our contract with you.
- To service your system and keep your warranty valid — performance of our contract, or our legitimate interest in maintaining systems we have installed.
- To register equipment with the manufacturer — performance of our contract, so that your warranty applies.
- To meet legal obligations — refrigerant handling records, waste records, accounting and tax records are all required by law.
- To introduce you to a finance provider, if you ask us to — performance of our contract or your consent.
- To send you occasional marketing — only where you have opted in, or you are an existing customer and we are offering something similar. You can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
- Manufacturers — to register your equipment and administer your warranty.
- Subcontractors we use for parts of an installation, such as electrical work. They may only use your information to carry out that work.
- Finance providers, where you have asked us to introduce you. They will handle your application under their own privacy notice.
- Certification and regulatory bodies, where we are required to record or report an installation.
- Our accountants, insurers and professional advisers.
- Software providers who host our email, job records and website.
We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't proceed — 12 months
- Installation and commissioning records — for the life of the system plus 6 years, so that we can support and service it
- Refrigerant handling records — at least five years, as required by law
- Accounting records — six years, as required by HMRC
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask for it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these, email hello@amalficlimate.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel and no chat widget on it, and nothing here tracks you between visits or across other websites.
The one thing we do store is your choice of light or dark appearance, kept in your own browser so the site looks the same next time you visit. It never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data removes it.
If we add analytics later we will say so here first, and ask before setting anything that needs your consent.
Storage
Your information is stored on servers within the UK or European Economic Area. Where a supplier stores data outside that area, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.
